LENT is a solemn religious observance in the church liturgical calendar that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends approximately six weeks later, before Easter Sunday. The purpose of Lent is the preparation of the believer through prayer, doing penance, repentence of sins, almsgiving, atonement, and self denial .

Listed below are some of the ways we at Litttle Flower are observing the Lenten Season.
Operation Rice Bowl will begin on February 25th.This
Rice bowls will be distributed during CCD classes and will also be available for pick up during Masses on the weekend of February 25th-26th and on Ash Wednesday. This Lenten season, Catholic Relief Services invites Catholics to pray with their families and communities; fast in solidarity with those who hunger; learn about our global community and the challenges of poverty; and give sacrificial contributions to those in need. Operation Rice Bowl is a way for your family to come together to help those in need during Lent.Consider downloading the CRS Rice Bowl free Lenten app to receive daily Lenten reflections and inspiration directly to your phone.
